This 5-week series will help you to improve your walking! 

Walking is a very complex activity that requires the coordination and orientation of the entire person. Learn how all the different parts of you are interrelated in this fundamental activity. Anybody can benefit from this series and in particular people who are recovering from an injury which impairs how they walk.

We will start indoors with relevant Awareness through Movement® lessons (45min – 1hr). Afterwards we will take what we just learned outside (on a quiet street with no traffic) and deepen our understanding with a dynamic walking lesson (15-30 min.)

Here are some of the topics that will be covered in the 4 weeks:

The movement of the feet and how the power is transferred through the legs into the hips.

The movement of the hips and their relationship to the shoulders (homolateral & contralateral ways of walking).

The movement of the shoulders and arms relative to the body when walking.


Prior experience in the Feldenkrais Method® is not needed. Beginners are welcome.
